Darshan Singh Khaira

He started his career as a Holstein breeder in 1976. He is the pioneer of Holstein breeding in India. He has the honor to be the first private Holstein Indian breeder  granted import license to import frozen Holstein bull semen in 1980 from WWS USA. First time in Indian Holstein history the great US Holstein bulls like Round Oak Rag Apple Elevation  and Pawnee Farm Arlinda Chief  were introduced in India. He took Artificial Insemination training from Swiss Project  Patiala, Punjab in 1980. Again imported Canadian Holstein semen from Semex Canada in 1988. He is also a pioneer in introducing machine milking in 1985. He developed a semen distribution net work till western UP , Assam and Kerala. He has addressed Holstein promoting seminars in all most all states of India.
